About Ouessant sheep

This breed of domestic sheep are native to the island of Ouessant, off the coast of Brittany, France. They are one of the smallest species of sheep in the world, with rams reaching 50cm tall and ewes reaching just 45cm tall!

There are currently no conservation measures in place for the Ouessant sheep as this breed is commonly kept within animal collections and on farms.
