Libéma Zoo PG Operations Ltd (‘Paignton Zoo’) is an associated company of Libéma Exploitatie B.V. (‘Libéma’).
These Terms and Conditions apply to entry to Paignton Zoo, the purchase of tickets, memberships and experiences, the use of our website and the use of our on-site facilities including WiFi.
By visiting Paignton Zoo, purchasing tickets or memberships, booking experiences, or using our website or WiFi services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. The most up-to-date version will always be available on our website.
Who operates Paignton Zoo?
Paignton Zoo is operated by Libéma Zoo PG Operations Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company number 16823534), with its registered office at Totnes Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ4 7EU.
What are the general conditions of entry?
We ask all visitors to respect the welfare of our animals, the safety of our staff and the enjoyment of other visitors.
When visiting Paignton Zoo:
Barriers and fences must not be crossed.
Animals must not be fed.
Windows and viewing areas must not be struck or disturbed.
Drones and other flying objects are prohibited.
Bicycles, scooters, rollerblades and skates are not permitted. Heelys may be worn as shoes only.
Barbecues, balls and balloons are not permitted.
No animals are permitted on site other than fully trained Assistance Dogs. Documentation must be provided before entry.
Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult over 18 at all times.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or require a visitor to leave if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful or places others at risk.
We may close all or part of the zoo where necessary for operational, safety or animal welfare reasons.
Parking outside the zoo, including at Morrisons supermarket, is not operated by Paignton Zoo and is subject to separate terms.
What are the terms for day tickets and e-tickets?
Visitors are encouraged to book online. Online pricing is not available at on-site tills.
All admission tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
One free carer admission is available for eligible disabled guests. Appropriate documentation, such as a Blue Badge, PIP, DLA letter or Access Card, must be presented on the day of visit.
E-ticket purchase
An e-ticket purchase agreement is formed when:
You complete the online booking process correctly, and
Full payment has been received.
Payment processing is handled via Enviso.
You are responsible for ensuring that all booking details are accurate. Incorrect or incomplete information may result in your ticket not being delivered.
E-ticket validity
Each e-ticket:
Contains a unique barcode
May only be used once
Is valid only on the date or within the validity period shown
Expires at closing time on the day of use
E-tickets must be clearly printed or displayed on a mobile device with a scannable barcode. Tickets that cannot be scanned will not be valid for entry.
Resale, commercial use, duplication or counterfeiting of tickets is prohibited.
What are the terms for memberships?
Memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified.
Memberships:
Are non-transferable and non-refundable
Require a digital photograph for identification
Must be presented for entry and to receive discounts
Cannot be used in conjunction with other offers
May be cancelled without refund if used fraudulently
Lost or stolen cards may be replaced for a £2 administration charge.
We reserve the right to withdraw or amend membership benefits at any time.
What are the terms for Childminder Passes?
Childminder Passes:
Are valid for 12 months from purchase
Are valid only when the registered childminder is working
Are not valid at weekends
Cover one named adult and 4 to 6 children aged 0–12 in their care
Assistants must be Ofsted registered and purchase their own childminder pass.
Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Fraudulent use may result in cancellation without refund.
What are the terms for experiences?
All experiences must be booked and paid for at least one week in advance.
Cancellations or changes within seven days are subject to a £10 administration fee.
Minimum age restrictions apply depending on the experience.
Visitors must:
Arrive on time
Wear suitable clothing
Follow all staff instructions
Experiences take place in working environments and may be cancelled at short notice due to operational, animal welfare or safety reasons.
If cancelled by Paignton Zoo, you will be contacted and offered an alternative date or refund.
How may you use our website?
By using our website, you agree:
To use it for lawful purposes only
Not to disrupt, damage or interfere with its operation
Not to reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit content without permission
All intellectual property rights in the website, including logos, design and content, remain the property of Paignton Zoo or its licensors.
Content is provided on an “as is” basis. While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee that content will be error-free or uninterrupted.
UK law applies to disputes arising from website use.
What is our liability?
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Paignton Zoo is not liable for:
Technical faults affecting ticket purchases
Inability to access the website
Indirect or consequential losses
Our total liability is limited to the value of the ticket, membership or service purchased.
How may you use our WiFi service?
Use of our WiFi service is at your own risk.
By accessing the network, you acknowledge that internet use carries inherent security risks.
You must not use the service for:
Illegal activities
Intellectual property infringement
Distribution of harmful software
Fraudulent or abusive behaviour
Excessive bandwidth consumption
We reserve the right to disconnect devices engaging in unlawful or unacceptable activity.
Which law applies?
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
