Make Every Visit Different
No two visits to Paignton Zoo are ever the same.
Watch animals behaving differently with the seasons, discover new arrivals, see habitats evolve and enjoy changing gardens throughout the year. Every visit helps support our conservation work and brings you closer to the natural world.
Explore our wildlife
From majestic southern white rhinos and towering giraffes to lions, tigers, playful primates, colourful birds and fascinating reptiles, Paignton Zoo is home to hundreds of incredible animals from around the world.
Discover endangered species, learn about the conservation work helping to protect them, and explore our ever-growing collection across immersive habitats. Keep an eye out for some particularly special residents too, including the only brown kiwi in the UK and one of just a small number of short-beaked echidnas in the country.
Step into their world
Some of Paignton Zoo’s wildlife experiences go beyond simply viewing an enclosure. Wander among lemurs in Lemur Woods, step into the heat and humidity of Tropics, or come remarkably close to powerful reptiles in Croc Swamp.
Across the zoo, immersive habitats bring you closer to the animals and the environments they are adapted to, with plenty to discover along the way.
