VISITOR UPDATE - 20 April 2026:
As part of our wider transformation, work is now underway to improve the main entrance at Paignton Zoo.
During this period, you may notice some changes when you arrive. Part of the entrance building will be temporarily screened off, and one of the main doors will be closed while works take place.
The zoo remains open as usual, and access is clearly signposted on arrival, with an alternative entrance in operation.
These improvements are designed to enhance your welcome experience and are expected to continue through to the start of summer.

VISITOR UPDATE - 7 April 2026:
We’re currently transforming parts of the zoo as we create new habitats and visitor experiences for the future. As this work progresses, you may notice some areas that look a little different, and there may occasionally be small changes to routes around the site.
This is all part of an exciting long-term vision to develop immersive spaces for both our animals and our visitors, including new mixed-species habitats and improved facilities across the zoo.
There’s still plenty to see and enjoy during your visit, with hundreds of incredible animals and a full day out to explore. Thank you for your support while we bring these plans to life.
